CHRIS MANDIGMA

Chris Mandigma is recognized as an authority in law enforcement for defensive tactics and he specializes in the integration of empty-hand tactics, impact and edged weapons and pistol with a heavy emphasis on police and civilian self-defense application. His experience spans over fifteen years of experience in law enforcement and security. Chris was born and raised in Toronto, Canada then lived in the Philippines for 5 years after graduating high school. He returned to Canada where he was introduced to Muay Thai which kickstarted his martial arts journey.  Within two years, Chris also began studying Japanese Jujutsu and Filipino Martial Arts. 

Chris' enforcement career began in Transit Security where he would subsequently become the use of force trainer for the security team. During this time, he also served 5 years as an Auxiliary Constable with the Waterloo Regional Police Service. This was followed with service with Canada's second largest law enforcement service, Canada Border Services Agency where he was assigned as a Use of Force and Firearms Instructor at the main recruit training college for half of a decade. In 2019, Chris was recruited to lead the development of the defensive tactics and firearms program for Environment Canada which encompassed Wildlife Enforcement Officers and Environment Protection Officers. Today, he is the Director for Canada and a member on the Board of Tactical Advisors for the Pekiti Tirsia Tactical Association.

As the only current TRICOM Master Instructor in Canada, Chris is a certified federal government use of force and firearms instructor and a vetted training supplier for the Government of Canada. He provides training for multiple law enforcement agencies and protective security service providers across North America.
