Tirsia (pronounced Ter-shi-uh) Tactical is internationally recognized in law enforcement and military training in the use of defensive tactics and firearms.

Tirsia Tactical was founded by Chris Mandigma, a respected authority and subject matter specialist in law enforcement defensive tactics and close quarter combatives (CQC). He specializes in CQC, edged weapons and pistol with a martial arts background in Muay Thai, Jiu-jitsu and Pekiti-Tirsia Kali.

Chris started in Transit Security Enforcement, served as an Auxiliary Constable with the Waterloo Regional Police Service, CBSA Use of Force and Firearms Instructor and ECCC Wildlife Enforcement Use of Force Advisor who has combined his experiences to develop defensive tactics programs for a multitude of agencies.

Tirsia Tactical is a vendor of record for Canadian law enforcement and protective service agencies, and Chris has trained law enforcement professionals nationally and internationally at the federal, provincial / state and municipal level. He is a certified Canadian Federal Government instructor, an approved ATC Instructor by the Chief Firearms Office and the sole TRICOM Master Instructor in Canada under the direct tutelage of Jared Wihongi - the founder and Chief Instructor of the TRICOM system.

Why "TIRSIA"? Paying homage to Pekiti-Tirsia Kali, which is a highly-effective close-quarter fighting art indigenous to the Visayan region of the Philippines founded in 1897 by Grand Master Conrado Tortal, it means 'quartering in fighting' or 'to push the enemy to an area of three corner sides. The lineage then continued to Grand Master Leo Tortal Gaje Jr. onto Tuhon Jared Wihongi.
